The Slow Hustle: Why Small Steps Still Get You There

Hey there, Goddess!

There’s a Swahili saying, “Pole Pole ndio mwendo”, which loosely to anslates to slow steps are still progress...and honestly, that’s the only way life really works. We live in a world that glorifies the hustle, the rush, the need to have it all figured out yesterday—but guess what? One small step in the right direction is still better than standing still.

Life is messy. Healing is messy. Growth? Messier than my hair on a bad day. But you’re moving, and that’s what matters.

The Truth About the Journey

You will falter. That’s not an “if” but a when. It’s part of the process. Falling doesn’t mean failure, it just means you’re learning.

Not everyone will cheer for you. Harsh truth, but some people prefer you stuck where you are. That’s why you have to be your own biggest Cheerleader.

Your ‘Why’ matters. The deeper your reason, the harder you’ll push. When the going gets tough, your why is what will keep you going.

External circumstances are not your reality. Life will throw curveballs, but your mindset determines how you handle them.

The Balance Dilemma

Life isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some things work for some people, and some don’t. The trick is finding your own rhythm.

Balance is everything. Yin/Yang. Black/White. Hustle/Rest. You can’t fight the need for equilibrium.

So, What Now?

  1. Take one step. Just one. Big moves are great, but small, consistent ones will change your life.
  1. Give yourself grace. You are not behind. You are exactly where you need to be.
  1. Be loud about loving yourself. Hype yourself up like you’re the main character, because....Hunnnaay!!! YOU ARE!

This journey is yours.

No one else can walk it for you.

But you are NOT alone.

Keep going, even if it’s slow.

Pole Pole ndio mwendo. 💛

Namaste!.....But now Namago! (See what I did there ;)

Stay loving on YOU, Goddess!
